My father and I had lunch today. Just the two of us. This has never happened before. It...wasn't horrible. We didn't have much to talk about, beyond work, but that was okay because I don't usually have anything but work to talk about. And Dad actually listened to me today. I don't think he's...ever done that. It...was nice. He mentioned maybe making this a weekly occurrence, which might be okay. If we can keep the arguing to a minimum, he's really nice to talk to. I don't think I ever knew that about my father. Maybe someday I'll even show him some of my writing. Not right now, but someday.
Also, I saw Oliver Wood at the Ministry today. He'd come in to fill in some paperwork up in Magical Games and Sports and stopped down to see me when he was done. I thought that was very friendly. Haven't seen much of him in the past few years, we're both very busy. He looks good, Quidditch agrees with him. We agreed to meet for dinner to catch up later this week, on Thursday. It will be something different for me for a change.

There has been a lot of backlash at the Ministry since the article about the Goblins was published. It is still too early to know what's going to happen, but I assure you all the Minister and his cabinet have it under control.
